Command & Conquer remasters are being explored by EA - staffordworty1954
Electronic Arts has announced that it is 'exploring' the opening of remastering the before Command & Appropriate games for the franchise's 25th day of remembrance in 2020.
That's according to producer Jim Vessella, who told the Command &adenylic acid; Conquer subreddit that the publisher is fully careful that fans want to see the series return to PC, following the announcement of mobile game Program line & Conquer: Rivals earlier this year.
Yeah, the less said about Rivals, the better; IT didn't on the nose fall in well with fans.
'As near of you may know,' he said, 'we recently announced Command &adenosine monophosphate; Conquer: Rivals, a mobile mettlesome lay in the Dominate & Curb universe. Following the display of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the… community also wants to see the enfranchisement return to PC.'
He added that EA is 'exploring some titillating ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games,' confirming IT already has got 'the ball rolling on our first try to celebrate the forthcoming 25th Twelvemonth Day of remembrance.'
Command &adenosine monophosphate; Conquer is a period strategy series that launched back in 1995, formulated by the now-defunct Westwood Studios. The original game appeared on PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn, and spawned numerous sequels including the hugely successful Red Alert series.
Aside from its strangely persuasive narrative and use of live-action cutscenes, Command & Conquer is legendary for its colourful soundtrack composed by Frank Klepacki. I mean, Red Intelligent's 'Hell March' is certainly one of the wholly-time great video game tracks, right?
